Our Story

Faith. Service. Meat.

Welcome to Inferno Acres – where faith, family, and a healthy dose of fire keep everything running (sometimes literally).

Long before this place was a bustling kid-and-livestock circus, Mandy was growing up on her grandparents’ farm, spending her days in 4-H, rodeo arenas, show barns, and her grandpa’s beef herd. She headed to Kansas State University to study Pre-Vet and Animal Nutrition with a minor in Genetics…until she decided to swap textbooks for a flight helmet and join the U.S. Army so they’d pay for college later. Eight years as a Chinook Crew Chief will teach you a lot – mostly how to do hard things with a smile. Steve, on the other hand, did not grow up with livestock. As an Air Force brat turned soldier at 18, he figured he was prepared for anything – until Mandy came along. He married her in April 2011, three days before they both shipped off to Afghanistan for a year, and has been enabling her “just one more animal” habit ever since.

After welcoming their first child in 2012 (with five more to follow!), Mandy flat-out refused to feed her kids store-bought meat. She’d been raised on her grandpa’s beef and could taste the difference. “It’s terrible,” she said. “I won’t feed my children that.” So the family started a tiny farm just to fill their own freezer…until the kids got involved. Emma fell in love with the sheep, pigs, and horses. Eli became king of the poultry. Daphney staked her claim with the goats. Felicity creates anything and everything. Dawson is all about the pigs, and little Leeli proudly makes mud pies with the pigs. As each kid found their niche and outgrew “just helping,” the farm naturally expanded – and before long, they were offering extra products to friends and family. Then Steve brought some of their homegrown meat to a work BBQ, where it disappeared faster than he could flip it. Suddenly everyone wanted to know where they could buy meat that actually tasted like meat.

Inferno Acres grew from that spark. We realized how hard it is for families to find truly high-quality, responsibly raised meat – and how much people crave it once they taste the difference. God provided us with the land, the animals, and the opportunity, and we believe it’s our privilege to share that blessing. Today we’re proud to raise beef, pork, lamb, poultry, and more so you can feel good about every bite.
